Paul A Scotti, PhD(C), BSc(Pod), CPed (C), DCh
Chiropodist/Pedorthist
Paul Scotti is Canada’s only registered Chiropodist who is also a certified Pedorthist. His experience and education began in 1986 at the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in Toronto where he studied massage therapy and continued his studies at the Kikkawa College of Massage Therapy and Shiatsu. Paul then went to the Sarasota School of Massage Therapy in Florida, and upon completion, he received his certification through the National Certification Board of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks.
Paul furthered his education into the field of biomechanics and orthotics while simultaneously working for a variety of orthotic labs. He became a member of the Pedorthic Association of Canada and earned his accreditation as a Certified Pedorthist from the Canadian Pedorthic Certification Board. He then studied at The Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences in Toronto, and in 2005, he completed the Chiropody program and is now a Registered Chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. Paul went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Podiatric Medicine from Queen Margaret University in Scotland. Paul’s pursuit for education continues as he is currently conducting clinical research and in the process of obtaining his PHD in Podiatric Research.
Paul is the founder of West Toronto Foot & Ankle Clinic. He speaks English and has a working knowledge in Croatian. Being both a Chiropodist and a Pedorthist, he brings a unique and unparalleled experience to the practice. Custom orthotics casted and dispensed by Paul are also manufactured onsite by Paul himself. He is also a Certified Fitter for Medical Compression Legwear as well as trained in custom knee brace casting and fitting.
John Ray, BSc(Kin), DCh
Chiropodist
John Ray is a dedicated and experienced Registered Chiropodist based in Toronto, Ontario. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from York University and earned his Advanced Diploma of Health Sciences in Chiropody from the Michener Institute of Education at UHN.
Ray is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based foot care to patients of all ages. His clinical expertise includes surgical procedures, therapeutic injections, wound care, custom orthotics with comprehensive gait analysis and assessment, venous assessment and care with compression stockings, sports therapy, and palliative foot care. Ray is also passionate about promoting equity, social justice, and inclusiveness in all aspects of patient care.
Outside the clinic, Ray enjoys general fitness, swimming, snowboarding, basketball, pickleball and engaging in clinical research.
Tetiana Tymofiiva, MSC, DCh
Chiropodist
Tetiana is a Registered Chiropodist who was first trained as a Medical Doctor from Ukraine and a graduate of Odesa State Medical University with a residency in Internal Medicine. After moving to Canada, she completed the Advanced Diploma in Chiropody at The Michener Institute of Education and is a licensed Chiropodist with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. She maintains professional competence through European and North American clinical resources and collaboration, in accordance with Ontario standards.
Tetiana has 15 years of hospital-based medical experience, including 10 years leading an Internal Medicine department. In Canada, she has worked in clinical and community settings, providing high-risk and diabetic foot care, wound care, musculoskeletal and dermatological treatment, sports-related foot care, and nail and foot soft tissue surgery. Her background allows her to take a comprehensive, medically informed approach to foot health. At the West Toronto Foot & Ankle Clinic, Tetiana delivers comprehensive, evidence-based foot care within Ontario regulations, focusing on acute and chronic condition management, recurrence prevention, and long-term foot health.
Tetiana is fluent in English, Ukrainian, Russian, and conversational Polish. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, skiing, camping, and hiking.
Sadat Sharif, MSc, DCh.
Chiropodist
Sadat obtained his medical degree (MBBS) in Bangladesh, where he worked as a family doctor for over 6 years. He then obtained his Masters of Science degree in Medicine from Orebro University in Sweden, and Advanced Diploma in Chiropody from The Michener Institute of Education at UHN. Sadat has worked in the Centre for Complex Diabetes Care, North York General Hospital and has gained valuable experience in proving high-risk and diabetic foot care, wound care, musculoskeletal and dermatological treatment. He has a special interest in Podiatric biomechanics, Podiatric soft tissue surgery, and is passionate on integrating medical background in podiatric medicine to help people with their foot pain and overall foot health.
Sadat is fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu and conversational Swedish. Outside the clinic he enjoys travelling, camping, gardening, working with automobile, carpentry work, working with electronics, fishing, and canoeing.
